How evenly the artwork sits inside the borders — the most common reason a mint-looking card falls short of a 10.

Sharpness and wear at all four corners, checked at the fraction-of-a-millimeter level a human eye can miss.

Edges

Nicks, whitening, and chipping along every edge — subtle flaws that quietly cap an otherwise clean grade.

Surface

Scratches, print lines, and holo scuffing across the face — the finish that separates near-mint from gem.

Should I use this before submitting to PSA?
Absolutely. A PSA submission costs $50-150 per card, takes weeks, and you won't know the grade until after you pay. CardGrading.app lets you grade your cards for $1.00–$2.00 each with a one-time pack, so you only submit the ones likely to grade PSA 9 or 10 - where the real value is.

How much money can this save me?
