The reason we exist

You pay $25–$300+ and wait weeks — only to learn the card grades low and the fee is gone.

CardGrading gives you that answer up front. Confidence before you spend, not regret after.

~30sec

to replace weeks of waiting and a non-refundable grading fee with a clear, honest read on what you're actually holding.

How the Appraisal reads a card

The same four things a professional grader judges.

Every scan is scored on centering, corners, edges, and surface — scored using PSA's published grading criteria, not a guess.

Centering

How evenly the artwork sits inside the borders — the most common reason a mint-looking card falls short of a 10.

Corners

Sharpness and wear at all four corners, checked at the fraction-of-a-millimeter level a human eye can miss.

Edges

Nicks, whitening, and chipping along every edge — subtle flaws that quietly cap an otherwise clean grade.

Surface

Scratches, print lines, and holo scuffing across the face — the finish that separates near-mint from gem.

The honest part: your lowest sub-score caps the whole grade — exactly how PSA does it. One soft corner is why most "perfect" cards come back a 9, and we tell you that before you spend a cent.

Real market value, every grade

See exactly what it's worth — raw, and at each grade.

The whole question is "is it worth grading?" So we put the money right next to the grade, blended live from three market sources.

Grades are predictions, based on PSA's published grading criteria — not a guarantee of PSA's outcome. A gem 10 is genuinely rare, and we'd rather tell you that than sell false hope.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about AI card grading, market values, and pricing.

Should I use this before submitting to PSA?

Absolutely. A PSA submission costs $50-150 per card, takes weeks, and you won't know the grade until after you pay. CardGrading.app lets you grade your cards for $0.10-$0.17 each on a plan, so you only submit the ones likely to grade PSA 9 or 10 - where the real value is.

How much money can this save me?

If you have 20 cards you're thinking of submitting to PSA at $50/card, that's $1,000. Grading them here costs under $6. If our AI predicts half of them won't grade PSA 9+, you've just saved $500 in wasted submissions.

How does AI card grade prediction work?

Our AI analyzes high-resolution photos of your card, evaluating centering, corners, edges, and surface condition - the same four factors PSA graders assess. Applying PSA's published grading criteria, it generates a predicted grade estimate in about 35 seconds. This is not an official grade.

How accurate are AI grade predictions?

Our AI predictions are estimates only and should not be treated as official grades. They are designed to help you decide which cards may be worth the cost of professional submission. Actual grades from PSA, BGS, or CGC may differ from our predictions.

How many free scans do I get?

Every new account gets 2 free grades (plus a free price check and a free bulk scan) with no credit card required - enough to grade a card with market prices included. After that, the Collector plan starts at $4.99/mo for 30 scans, or buy the One-Time Credit Pack: 30 credits for $5.99, no subscription.

Does my card leave my possession?

Never. You simply photograph your card with your phone camera. Your card stays safely in your hands at all times - zero risk of shipping damage or loss.

What card types can I get predictions for?

Currently we support Pokemon TCG cards. We're working on expanding to other trading card games including Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, and sports cards.

Does CardGrading.app show card values?

Yes. Every grade (1 credit) includes market prices automatically - no extra cost. You see what your card is worth ungraded, at PSA 9, at PSA 10, and at your predicted grade. This is how you know whether a PSA submission will actually pay off. We pull live data from PokeTrace, eBay, TCGPlayer, and our AI Price Agent.
